About The Ontario Away Shop
Ontario Away started as a travel and destination blog in 2018. Our love for experiencing the province and seeking out new adventures was always done with cameras in hand.
We're incredibly lucky to live in such a dynamic, beautiful province. From towering cities to pristine nature, it’s a place that photographs really well.
It’s funny: On the blog, the words were always the important part. The photos took a back seat. It wasn’t until recently that we were made aware of two things:
- Some of our photos were good enough to be wall art.
- Some people might want these photos in their homes.
In our shop, you’ll find many places from all over Ontario. The photos are taken by us and then printed and shipped by our local print partner right here in Ontario.
None of the photos in our shop are stock photos and it’s been incredible to work with different organizations around Ontario to make these snaps happen.
So, whether you’re looking for a beautiful artistic addition to your space, a reminder of a place in Ontario that holds meaning to you, or you just want to add a little more “Ontario” to your life, we’re glad you’re here.
About The Founders
We’re Eric and Lisa, the founders of Ontario Away - and the photographers behind all the prints in the Ontario Away Shop.
Born and raised in Ontario, Eric was fortunate enough to grow up "by the lake". The natural beauty of Ontario is something that he missed greatly while living abroad.
Lisa, born and raised in Germany, met Eric abroad and later moved with him to Ontario. Over the years, she's gotten to know Ontario for its natural beauty around almost every corner.
Now settled together near beautiful Georgian Bay our mission is to capture Ontario's beauty with our cameras, promoting and supporting local parks, places, and businesses along the way.
Building a store full of photos you’ve taken yourself isn't easy. It takes time. It takes money. It takes an understanding - and appreciation - for everything Ontario has to offer. But it's worth it.

Ontario Away, a brand by Creativlier Media Inc., is proudly Canadian with headquarters in beautiful Collingwood, Ontario.
The products in our shop are made in Ontario. Our photos are shot here in Ontario (by us) and printed by our local print partner in Ontario. Our puzzles (coming soon!) feature our photos and/or designs and are printed, cut, and boxed by our puzzle partner in Merrickville, Ontario.
Our pursuit of supporting local business and initiatives means we're always looking for new, local partners to satisfy the ever-growing consumer base that prioritizes transparency, environmental consciousness, and a “locally-made” story they can feel good about putting their hard-earned dollar behind. It isn’t always easy to do things this way - but we feel it’s the right way.
